Transmission Line Design
Shaw EDS provides a wide range of transmission line design services from the computer-aided design of new and upgraded transmission facilities, through the development of drawings and purchase specifications, materials engineering and procurement, construction and project management.
Our long history in the utility industry gives us a unique understanding of transmission issues. Shaw EDS structural engineers have designed and rebuilt more than 4,000 miles of transmission lines and associated foundations, including complex designs adapted to some of the most rugged terrain in the United States.
We use the latest computer software for the design and analysis of structures from 44-kV wood poles to 525-kV lattice steel towers. We can also develop load requirements and design drawings for full-scale testing of all types of structures.
